What is a halter neckline?

Halter Neckline

Halter Neckline: a neckline that scoops down in front and ties behind the neck, leaving the arms bare. Think of Marilyn Monroe's white dress from The Seven Year Itch.

This is the type of neckline I plan on wearing in my wedding. It is typically a good neckline for women with smaller bust lines because the v-neck in most halters gives the effect of cleavage. It is also good for women who are insecure about what I like to call "triangle neck syndrome." This is when women have tight or bulky upper trap muscles that make them either look too skinny or manly. The line of the halter neck cuts across the upper traps to camouflage them.
